SomaCheck is a Sensie brand and service. This policy explains how Sensie, LLC ("Sensie," "we," or "us") handles information when you use the SomaCheck iOS app and its related services. It supplements Sensie's Privacy Policy with details specific to SomaCheck.
Information we handle
- Account and profile information: name, email address, authentication records, age range derived from your date of birth, gender if provided, and wellness topics you choose.
- Motion and check-in information: accelerometer and gyroscope samples generated while you actively calibrate or complete a check-in; gesture timing and energy measurements; calibration examples; derived alignment results; agreement feedback; and session history.
- Self-care information: the guide you select, self-care activity, breathing preferences or conditions you provide, and recent check-in context used to personalize a session.
- Device, usage, and diagnostic information: app interactions, app and operating-system versions, error details, performance information, and crash reports used to operate and improve SomaCheck.
- Optional voice sessions: if you choose a voice guide and grant microphone access, your live microphone audio is sent to ElevenLabs to conduct the conversation. The selected guide may also receive your first name, age range, gender if provided, chosen wellness topics and detail, breathing preferences, session count, and recent check-in result as conversation context.
- Support information: information you choose to include when you contact us.
SomaCheck does not request camera or precise-location access for check-ins. Motion sensing occurs only while the app is running an active calibration or check-in flow.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you; deliver and personalize calibration, check-ins, results, history, and self-care sessions; maintain account-specific settings; secure and troubleshoot the service; measure feature reliability; and respond to support requests. We do not use SomaCheck information for third-party advertising.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers that process information for us under their own safeguards, including Supabase for authentication and cloud data, ElevenLabs for optional live voice conversations, and analytics or diagnostic providers such as Mixpanel and Sentry when enabled. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
On-device and account-specific storage
Some history, calibration, and classifier state is stored on your device. Signed-in data is scoped to the account that created it. Signing out does not erase that account's saved history, and another account on the same device cannot read it. When you sign back into the original account, its saved information becomes available again. Deleting an account through the app removes that account's scoped local data as part of the deletion flow.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while needed to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request account deletion in the app under Profile → Delete Account or by contacting us from the email address associated with the account. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before routine deletion.
Your choices
You can control motion, microphone, and notification access in iOS Settings. You may stop a voice conversation at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information. To make a request, email hi@joinsensie.com.
Children
SomaCheck is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can address it.
Security, international processing, and changes
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may update this policy; the effective date above identifies the current version.
